My bearing is hard to remove, how do I remove it safely?
Use a pair of channel lock pliers like these, grip the bearing with the pliers, and rock the pliers back and forth gently the bearing should start to move back and forth and eventually release from the seat. Take your time it will come off but may take some convincing.

How do I clean my bearing?
This depends on the bearing you are using.
For a String Theory Terrapin treated Bearing remove the shields with a sewing needle by pushing on the end of C fastener tangent with the curvature of the C and push toward the inside of the bearing the C fastener should pop out, repeat for the other side. Now use a can of air to blow out any debris. Now replace the shields and C fasteners and you are done

Now wash the bearing with mineral spirits vigorously for about a minute, remove the bearing from the mineral spirits and spin until it is dry or blow dry with canned air.
